Nikon D3 Digital SLR

Photo of the Nikon D3 Digital SLR.Without a doubt, the Nikon D3 is the most capable Digital SLR the company has ever produced, but at a staggering $5,000 for the body alone it is probably out of the reach of most photographers who aren't at the very top of the profession. But my, what a camera it is nonetheless!

The D3 is one of the toughest cameras on the market thanks to its magnesium-alloy chassis components and perfectly placed rubberized padding panels, and its very ergonomic design makes it quite easy to hold while shooting and changing menu settings.

If you have ever wished for a camera that excels under low light conditions, the D3 is just what you've been looking for. The 12.1 megapixel full-frame sensor is capable of capturing absolutely stunning images at ISO's up to 6400, and the maximum ISO of 25,600 makes taking usable pictures in extremely low light not only possible, but fairly easy.

A large, easy to read 3" LCD combined with a "Live View" mode makes composing great images a snap. Add a super-fast 51-zone AF system into the mix, and what you have in the Nikon D3 is quite simply one of the finest cameras ever built.
