A few evenings ago, I was out taking some photos with the little Canon S90 that I reviewed on this page a couple of weeks ago. The bird in the photo was an attempt to keep the neighbors’ chickens out of our yard. I don’t think they even see it, but it looks pretty nice blowing around when there is a breeze.
This photo is not an exceptional photo at all, but I loved the colors in the sky at sunset. Generally, clouds add a lot to a good sunrise and sunset, but, IMHO, here is proof that they do not have to be present to make a good photograph. This scene was just very peaceful to me and shouted out, God is love. I hope that you also enjoy the beauty!
Here are the camera and settings used to capture this image:
Camera: Canon s90
Focal length: 22.5mm
Shutter speed: 1/250 second
Aperture: f/4.9
ISO: 80
I invite you to visit my online gallery where you’ll find many of the photographs I have taken over the years.

Ron, this is a gorgeous picture. And I disagree, it is quite an exceptional picture.
I agree with Mary. This is a remarkable image featuring a magnificent sunset with the added bonus in the humorous addition of the dangling bird.
Great shot Ron.
I wish my “not exceptional” photos turned out this well. I love it!!
I agree, the colors are wonderful and the dangling bird is a lot of fun. Nice work, Ron.
Beautiful colors. Just a wonderful shot overall.
LOVE the bird!!! Great job on this one Mr. Trees!
Please, please PLEASE tell me that’s a fake bird. Lovely sky and a great shot.
Yes Connie, it is very much a fake bird!! No way would I be hanging a real bird out like this!!!!
Thanks all for the comments. You have made my day!!
Whew!!!! Thanks for clearing that up. Great shot Ron!
Great!!!
He paints the sky with some beautiful colors Ron. No clouds required. Great shot and story. Love your gallery by the way – so many great photos there.
