Today’s picture features a spectacular view of planet earth from 22,000 feet. It was taken by photographer Ed Schipul from his seat aboard a cruising airliner. I think it turned out quite good given that it was taken through a thick, grimy airplane window. I hope you like it as much as I do.
Here are the camera and settings used to capture this image:
Camera: Canon EOS 5D
Focal length: 24mm
Shutter speed: 1/500 second
Aperture: f/16
ISO: 400

This is totally mind-blowing. What a great shot!
As a frequent traveler I see views like this fairly often but it never occurred to me to try to photograph them from the window. It’s not on my to-do list! Thanks for sharing Ed!
Awesome capture Ed!!!
Nice!! This photo simply MUST be seen with the large view!
What Bill Murphy said.
Ed, unlike you I have tried getting this shot so many times but never been able to come away with anything as good as this. Kudos Mr. Schipul!
Nice…
Now that isn’t a view you see every day! Very nice photo, looks like you are on the edge of space.
Well executed.
