To most Americans the Carpathian Mountain Range which spans much of central and eastern Europe probably doesn’t command the same level of love and admiration as our own Rockies and Appalachians, nor should they. But as today’s picture clearly shows, those majestic peaks and valleys are quite beautiful in their own right.
Photographer Ivan Cruz captured this wonderful image while gazing at the Carpathians from what was obviously a fantastic vantage point in a Ukranian meadow. I love traveling to the far corners of the world via the wonderful world of photography.

Lovely… looks much like the Blue Mountains in Oregon, the sort of place where I’d love to have a cabin… this image makes me want to fire up the Jeep and see where that road goes, to explore, to enjoy the beautiful countryside. Good job, Ivan!
One of the things I love about photography is the possibility to transport the viewer to another place or time. I agree with Rocky that this looks very much like the Blue Mountains. I would love to be in the seat beside Rocky seeing where this road goes. I like your photo a lot Ivan!! This looks like a beautiful place!
What a beautiful scene! This just goes to show that God was quite generous when He “spread around” the beauty for all of us to enjoy.
Wow!!!!!
Rick, you’ve done it again. This is another outstanding image by yet another outstanding photographer.
