Today’s picture by photographer Shaun Dunphy features a fisherman enjoying a gorgeous Finnish sunset while trying his luck out on the water. Finland has some of the longest and coldest winters of any country on earth, but this scene looks rather warm and inviting. I hope you like it.

    As Rick has mentioned before, we usually associate beautiful sunrises and sunsets with tropical places but they can actually be enjoyed most anywhere on our planet. I love this!!!!

    What a great POTD Rick! I have lots of family living in both Sweden and Finland and they tell me of the beautiful long summer days and sunsets that seem to last forever. I like this photo a lot! Thanks for sharing Shaun!

    A very well executed dusk/shadow image dusk is more difficult to shoot than even night, in this image you make it look easy. Great shot.
