Lake Erie in Mid-Autumn

Click here for a larger view              Photo and narrative by Juanita L. Ruffner.

This photograph features Lake Erie in mid-fall shot from a vantage point at Painesville Township, Ohio. It was taken on a visit to my son and his family last year. I eagerly await each visit. There used to be a scenic road here back in the 70’s, but for some reason it was let go. Below this spot you can see evidence of cement and concrete left over from what use to be it… But my focus was the beautiful view of the lake, and I love that tree!

Camera and settings used to capture this image:

Camera: Nikon D300
Lens: 18-200mm VR
Focal length: 44mm
Shutter speed: 1/1000 second
Aperture: 10

I invite you to visit my website where you can see more of my images.

Great shot Juanita, and of special significance to me and my wife as she is originally from Port Clinton, which you probably know is right on Lake Erie. It was nice to get another glimpse of the lake, especially when it is nice as this one. Thanks!
