Event: 2010 Polar Bear Plunge
Neshaminy State Park – Bensalem, PA
Saturday, January 30

The Polar Bear Plunge (or Polar Plunge) is a fundraising event that challenges an individual or group to enter into a cold body of water in order to raise money for Special Olympics. Plunge participants set a fundraising goal and get pledges from family, friends and colleagues for their commitment to be “freezin’ for a reason.”

The Eastern Polar Plunge benefits more than 20,000 Special Olympics Pennsylvania athletes – the state’s largest year-round organization devoted to sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. The temperature at plunge time (12 noon) was 19°f.
