From photographer Caleb Austin: Portland Head Light is the most photographed lighthouse in the United States, so when I visited there in mid-January, I wanted to get a different angle if I could. Eventually I found this spot away from the usual lookout and composed the image with the rocky cliffs leading up to the famed lighthouse. You can see more of my photographs at http://500px.com/CalebhAustin. Thanks for looking!
Here are the camera and settings used to capture this image:
Camera: Canon EOS Rebel T2i
Lens: Nikkor 20mm f/2.8 (used on my Canon camera with an adaptor)
Focal length: 20mm
Exposure time: 25 seconds
Aperture: f/11
ISO: 100

This is absolutely beautiful Mr. Austin. Very, very, very well done.
What a stunning shot! I’ve seen hundreds of photos of this lighthouse but I have NEVER seen it quite like this! AWESOME!!!!!
Perfect.
Great job on this Caleb! The composition is both unique and all-encompassing.
Beautiful shot Caleb.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beautiful work, Caleb!
I love this part of Maine. Thank you for sharing a winter view, less common than the iconic summer scene of this light. Well done!
Very nice Caleb!!
I grew up with the lighthouse on Portland Head shinning in my window. Even though it has been more than sixty years since I have seen it, I can close my eyes and feel the rhythm of the flashes. Great shot, thanks for the memories.
Wonderful image, Caleb.
Love your perspective from that vantage point there, Caleb.
