Tuttle Creek Lake, located just north of Manhattan, Kansas, provided me with the opportunity to capture this three exposure HDR image at 5:32am. The unusually cool evening the night before created a low based fog that seemed to glide along the lake as the sun was beginning to rise.
Here are the camera and settings used to capture this image:
Camera: Canon EOS Rebel T1i
Lens: Sigma 24-70 f/2.8
Focal length: 32mm
Shutter speeds for the three exposures: 5 sec, 10 sec and 20 sec
Aperture: f/13.0
ISO: 100

The colors in this image are absolutely AMAZING Mr. Ackerman. This is HDR done right in my humble opinion.
I can’t stop looking at this picture. The subtle shading and detail are simply incredible. Well done Mr. Ackerman.
OMG, what an awesome pic, and to think it’s an HDR!! I’m humbled after comparing this effort to my own.

Double WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Absolutely phenomenal photo Scott!! I love it!!
You can’t go wrong when you have water and fog in your photo. The sunrise added so much more. Great, great photo!
Marvelous!!!
How gorgeous and colorful and sharp this is after combining three long exposures! I love it!
Amazing work Scott.
I really like the composition here Scott, with the long reflections of the trees and the amazing layers of color. This really is an awesome pic.
Outstanding, expertly done HDR.
I love it.
This photo would make a great teaching aid in my photography classes. Very, very nicely done.
Gorgeous indeed.
Delightful!
Beautiful shot!!! I love the dark silhouettes that rise from the fog against the brilliant colors and the soft reflection along the lake. Would definitely make a great wall hanging.
The color is astounding!
