From photographer Benjamin Edelstein: Photographing sunsets in the Florida Keys always yields huge potentials for amazing colors. I had previously scouted this exact location earlier on in the day, and knew I wanted to return for sunset. Like all of my landscape shooting that I do, I showed up to the location a couple of hours before the sun had started setting.
The colors during sunsets are very dynamic, and change frequently throughout the small window. I patiently waited until I saw the colors really begin to fill the skies. The moment ended up being just after the sun hid below the horizon, which introduced an array of purple hues to the extremely tranquil scene.
