This picture of the Colosseum was taken on a late afternoon in September at the start of a tour of the central region of Italy up to Florence and Pisa. This shot was taken as we walked up from the forum after what had been a very hot day in the baking sun.
The camera and settings used to capture this image:
Camera: Canon eos 400D
Lens: Sigma 18-50mm f/3.5-5.6 DC
Focal length: 46mm
Shutter speed: 1/125
Aperture: f/13
ISO: 200

Great picture of an iconic landmark.
Nicely done Mr. Hill!
Fascinating!!!
I love visiting Europe, especially Italy. I have stood on this very spot and you sure gain a real sense of history when you’re there. Nice shot Mr. Hill.
This was shot with a wonderful perspective – great job.
