Aspens and an approaching storm

Sometimes the simplest of scenes can have quite a dramatic impact. Case in point: In today's picture, the photographer (who preferred to remain anonymous) managed to capture a pair of white-barked aspens all aglow from the late afternoon sunlight just as a thunderstorm was moving in. The stark contrast between the trees and clouds really caught my eye when I first saw the image. I guess it just goes to show that we can find beauty in nature when and where we least expect it when God pulls out His amazing brush to liven up what is normally a not-so-spectacular scene.     Visitor Comments...
