First Snowfall - Blacklick, OH

Photo courtesy of Genandiy Baturin. The arrival of winter is never really appreciated until that first snowfall blankets the ground, turning the local landscape into a gorgeous winter-wonderland. For me, that first few inches of fluffy white snow helps calm the irritation of having to deal with the inevitable icy winds and frosty windshields of the season. I suppose it's the same for many others as well. Thanks to photographer Genandiy Baturin, today's beautiful picture gives us a glimpse of the winter-wonderland enjoyed by the citizens of Blacklick, Ohio after receiving their first "dose" of the powdery "magic elixir". I'm sure this scene from Blacklick Golf Course is gorgeous any time of year, but a blanket of snow has turned it into an image worthy of gracing a Christmas card!
