Picture of the day -

Charlotte, North Carolina at night

I have driven through the city of
Charlotte, North Carolina on numerous occasions,
and I always enjoy looking at her beautiful skyline as I drive past
the downtown area on Interstate 77. Charlotte might not be New York,
Los Angeles, or even Atlanta, but she is the largest city in
the state of North Carolina, and the skyscrapers that are so
prominent from the nearby Interstate are nothing short of
spectacular!
In today's picture, photographer Wendall Nunn has managed to capture
every bit of the abundant beauty and charm that the "Queen City"
exudes after the sun goes down and the lights come on. The following
is Mr. Nunn's story behind his amazing image:
"I have always liked the way downtown Charlotte looks while driving
by, especially at night. I drove around for quite a while trying to
find
a clean shot of the skyline without buildings and power lines.
I finally
found this spot one night and managed to get a good shot.
Panthers
Stadium is only a mile or so around the curve after you
pass the city.
Thanks for looking at my picture, and I hope you enjoy it."
