Clouds & Sunshine Over Southwestern Virginia

I believe that God enjoys using light in various ways to paint
beautiful and unique landscapes for us humans to enjoy on occasion. I've noticed
how He will often fill the sky with boisterous clouds, but then
allow just enough sunlight to stream through to highlight selected
features and objects within our view. Today's picture features one
of those very special scenes.
The other day I was driving down US Highway 11 at Seven Mile Ford,
Virginia when the dark skies suddenly parted just a bit allowing
streaks of sunlight to illuminate the countryside in a way that I
had never seen before. All at once, I found myself staring at a
masterpiece the likes of which only God can create, and He had
selected one of the smallest communities in the entire country in
which to display it! In the blink of an eye, He had turned an ordinary pasture field, some
trees and a hillside into a scene that will remain on display in the
"museum" section of my mind for the
rest of my life.
The southwestern corner of our great state boasts some of the most
beautiful scenery I have ever seen, and I've seen a lot of it in my
travels. I just love how the Lord "mixes it up" from time to time in
order to give us a fresh view of His wonderful creations.
