My sister Helen has always been an animal lover, and she still is to
this day. When we were growing up she always seemed to have a pet or
two around the house, and some of them were "wild" animals that she
had "found" and "trained".These days all of Helen's pets are of
the domesticated variety, and they more or less have the run of her
house and farm. Outdoors, she has a beautiful Labrador Retriever and
several horses that keep her quite busy, and indoors Mr. Kitty has
plenty of canine company including a growing number of ever-feisty
Shih Tzu's.
Helen loves all of her furry friends of course, but I believe she
has a special place in her heart for Cody, the cute little character
sitting in the saddle atop Sage in today's picture (which was taken
on July 11 at southwestern Virginia's Thomas Bridge Horse Show).

This is such a wonderful photo. I wish we could have seen more of
Sage as well.
