Sunset at Cranfield Point

Richard G.
Browne.
The Emerald Isle is famous for its lush green landscapes and
gorgeous scenery, but as you can tell from today's picture, Irish
sunsets can be pretty spectacular as well! Ireland has long been
considered a land of extreme beauty, and after years of political turmoil, her people are now enjoying
the peace and prosperity they dreamed of for such a long, long time.
This magnificent scene was captured by photographer Richard G.
Browne, and the following is his story behind the image:
"This photo was taken at
Cranfield Point, which is on the east coast
of
Ireland. The
day was hazy and held promises of a very red sunset
if the sky
stayed clear and the heavy haze remained. I arrived at 4pm
and this
shot was taken at around 5pm. The location is excellent for
winter
and early spring sunsets because of the lighthouse and the
frequent
freight traffic that passes by. A large tanker had passed by
just a few
minutes earlier." --Richard G. Browne

Browne's gallery where you'll find lots more of his wonderful
