Daffodils After An Early Morning Rain

Well, according to the calendar today is the first day of spring,
and I for one am certainly glad to see it arrive. I absolutely love
spring!
Every season that God gives us is special in its way:
Summer is for
spending time with our families as we "cook out" and enjoy the
outdoors.
Autumn turns trees all across the nation into thousands of
colorful mosaics. And of course
winter brings snow in many parts of
the country which delights kids of all ages who love to get out and
play in it. But for me, there is nothing like spring...
I just love it when March rolls around after a long, cold winter.
Crocuses burst into view and blossom, the grass turns green, and the
trees show signs of new life with the appearance of "buds" and
plenty of fragrant blossoms of their own. And then there are the
daffodils! Every year when I see those beautiful trumpet-shaped
flowers pop out of their cocoons I know that spring is just around
the corner. Sometimes they have to endure a final snowfall or two,
but they inevitably show up to herald the arrival of my favorite
time of year. And so they did once again, just a few days ago.
Cheria and I have several beds of daffodils in various parts our
large yard, and right now most of them are blooming in all their
magnificent glory. Today's picture features just a few of them
standing tall after an early morning rain. Did I mention that I
absolutely love spring?
