Daisies from "Land of the Giants"?

Photo of some very "tall" daisies.

I remember watching a television show as a youngster entitled "Land of the Giants", a science fiction series in which a handful of human sub-orbital space travelers somehow got their craft caught in a worm-hole and ended up crash-landing on a strange planet where EVERYTHING was approximately 12 times larger than their counterparts back on earth. The poor stranded humans spent the bulk of every 60 minute episode tying to avoid the evil giants as well as their giant dogs, cats, cockroaches and, well...everything else.

Today's picture by photographer Scott April reminds me of the way those poor folks must have seen the flowers they often hid amongst on the "giant" planet. Imagine looking up at the undersides of a bunch of daisies as if they are actually trees. A quite intriguing perspective to say the least!

Here are a few words from Mr. April about his amazing image:
"This picture is an interesting one from underneath a patch of daises
looking up at a vibrant blue summer sky. The daisies look like giants
reaching for the sun! I really like this snap and hope you do too!
    Enjoy!"
    --Scott April

Those daisy's are my grandmother Laura's, planted at my Moms, photographed by my son. My Grandma was an award winning gardener who passed about this time last year. Not to be morbid, but I'm sure that she never looked at those daisy's in that way! She would have been proud...
