Viewing a dandelion from a different perspective

Looking at ordinary, run-of-the-mill things from a different perspective often gives them a new look and brings out details that somehow went unnoticed before, and today's picture by photographer Scott April is a perfect example. This photo simply shows a close-up view of an ordinary dandelion from directly above - and the result is nothing less than striking. Here are a few words from Mr. April about the image: "This picture is of a dandelion in my back yard. I've shown this picture to friends and family and many of them don't know it's a dandelion until I tell them.
