Picture of the Day - October 15, 2009
"Danish Sunset"

Click on the photo for a larger view)
Today's picture features a beautiful sunset over a beach in the
northern European country of Denmark, the southernmost country in
Scandinavia. When most people think of picturesque sunsets, visions of
exotic tropical islands usually come to mind. But this striking
image proves yet again that gorgeous sunrises and sunsets are by no
means limited to warmer latitudes.
The photographer who took this wonderful photograph wishes to
remain anonymous, but it's hard to understand why given its beauty.
Nonetheless, as always I will honor his wish.
The camera and settings used to capture this image:
Camera: Panasonic DMC-FZ28
Focal length: 39mm
Shutter speed: 1/200 second
Aperture: f/5
ISO: 100

Perfect timing of the birds, the sunsetting with the water catching
the reflection of it. Indeed you did a great job!
