Picture of the day - March 25, 2009
"Night at the County Fair"

As you can see, in today's picture photographer Joe Saladino has
managed to exquisitely capture a night of fun at the 2009 Sarasota
County, Florida Fair. But this wonderful image also perfectly
demonstrates one of photography's most powerful techniques: Using a
long exposure time to convey motion and blend colors.
When you think about it, four seconds at a County Fair is barely
enough time to even catch your breath. But when it comes to exposing
an image, four seconds is all it takes to transform the ordinary
into something truly magical. And Mr. Saladino has certainly done
exactly that with his trusty Olympus E520.

Exceptional photo, and a rather interesting narrative.

Outstanding composition and exposure. The person at the
bottom/middle of the pic appears almost ghostlike due to his/her
motion. This is simply an amazing photograph.

Joe Saladino captured a really great shot there. Looks like a lot of
planning and skill went into that photo. You just never know what
cool stuff you'll find on TodaysPhoto.org...that's why I have to
stop back everyday!
