"Big Glen" & "Little Glen" Filling Nanny's Birdfeeders

Glen and Tonnie are enjoying a wonderful weekend visit by their
daughter Amanda and grandsons Glen & Jason, and as always everyone
involved is having a ball. As they always do when they're in town,
Jason is staying busy wearing out his ever-present "Gameboy" while
"Little Glen" is spending virtually every minute of the day with his
grandpa. And if I were a betting man I'd be willing to wager good
money that the
Grape
Escape has already taken a few laps around the "track"!
Glen and Tonnie took Amanda and the boys to visit
Nanny yesterday afternoon, and while they were there Little Glen
helped his grandpa fill up Nanny's bird feeders. Little Glen
did his part by pouring the bird seed into the feeders while Grandpa
Glen held him up, but when it came time to place a chunk of suet into the
wire cage attached to the side of the red feeder he decided that he
would sit that one out. After taking a look at the suet, he said
(and I quote): "It looks like someone threw it up!"
Well, I couldn't say that I disagreed with him because that chunk of
suet did look a bit on the nasty side. But the birds and squirrels
seem to love it and Nanny loves watching them chow down on it, so
"Big Glen" went ahead and did the honors while "Little Glen" looked
on with apparent disgust.
All in all it was a great day. We all love Amanda and her wonderful
family dearly, and Nanny had a great time during their visit.
Hopefully, James will be able to come along with them on their next
visit, but this weekend he was busy carrying out his duties in the
service of our nation. Amanda and Jason have to return home today,
but Little Glen will be staying with Grandpa Glen and Grandma Tonnie
for an entire week! If I were a betting man, I'd say a
dune buggy ride will be coming up pretty soon...
