"Fishing with Dad"

Nick Sadowski.
I find today's picture of a young boy fishing with his dad quite
beautiful, and not just because of the magnificent sunset. This
scene brings to mind precious memories of times past when my own dad
would take us kids to a local pond or river where he would while
away the hours with a fishing pole in his hand as we swam and played
around in the water a short distance away. And on many of those
outings we stayed until the sun had dipped well below the horizon.
I guess it's that personal attachment that really makes this picture
so special for me. Photographer Nick Sadowski managed to capture
both the beautiful sunset and the touching interaction between
father and son just perfectly, and he offered the following words
about the wonderful image:
"I was venturing around Stony Creek Park in Shelby Township, MI
to catch a magical sunset and noticed a special moment being
shared
between a father and son as Dad was teaching his boy how
to fish.
Instead of showing up to photograph a special sunset, I had
a
special moment begging to be captured right in front of me.
After asking permission to photograph the two, I waited until the
sun set right above the cloud line and came away with this shot.
I
shot this image with my Canon EOS 5D DSLR with a 70-200mm
f/2.8
telephoto lens which allowed me to stay unobtrusively away
from the
two and their moment." --Nick Sadowski
