Halo over the American Flag

I'll simply get out of the way and allow photographer Lauren Blackwell to explain the circumstances of its capture: "I shot this standing under the flag at Veterans Memorial Plaza in down- town San Antonio, Texas. I was first captivated by the dramatic clouds in the middle of the hot afternoon. I decided to take a different view of the flag and came up with this image. I proudly served under that flag for several years. During my service I had the opportunity to watch the flag from this view point many many times. I never saw a halo above it, though. It is wonderful to see God's colors flying above our Country's colors. That puts it all into perspective now, doesn't it.
