Floating fishing dock - Orange, Texas

Sometimes it can be fun to play around with your camera's settings
and take a few pictures in ways that you don't usually consider to be
"correct", and today's beautiful picture of a floating fishing dock
in Orange, Texas is a perfect example.
Photographer Bill Perry captured this intriguing image using a super-fast
shutter speed which seems to have turned day into night (or at least
early evening). By taking a much shorter exposure than normal, the
lens let in just enough light to show the trees in silhouette and
give the water a dark blue hue from the reflected sky. The result is
an image that lends a new look to an ordinary, run of the mill
scene. Great job Bill!
The camera and settings used to create this image are as follows:
Camera: Olympus E-510
Aperture: f/4.50
Shutter speed: 1/4000 second
ISO: 100
Focal length: 14mm
