"Fog on the lake"

Today's picture is a fine example of the magic that can happen when a photographer stumbles upon the right place, under the right conditions, at the right time of day. By experimenting just a bit with the exposure, he/she managed to "create" a scene where the setting sun and distant fog combined to create some beautiful, yet rather haunting silhouettes and reflections in the perfectly-still water of an unnamed lake. I guess it just goes to show that a little imagination, lots of skill, and just a bit of serendipity often work hand-in-hand to give you a lot more than you might have expected in return for your efforts.
