Our Gigantic Forsythia Bush

Our lawn is adorned with a wide array of flowers, a number of which
are blooming in all their glory right now. We had a number of
beautiful
crocuses and
daffodils
in bloom before spring even got here, but they have now faded away
as if to make way for the dozens of colorful tulips and numerous
bluebonnets and violets that have turned our yard into a magnificent
garden. And before long hundreds of spectacular irises will do their
part to add color and fragrance to the world in which we live.
But when it comes to sheer size, the gigantic Forsythia bush that
stands beside our driveway puts all the other flowers to shame. That
humongous ball of yellow blossoms is getting bigger all the time,
and right now it measures approximately 11 feet in height and 13
feet in diameter! I have mentioned the possibility of trimming it
back on several occasions, but Cheria wants to just let it grow and
grow and grow...
Well, if it grows much larger it'll take up most of the yard, but I
guess that just means I'll have less mowing to do - which is a
good thing of course . In the meantime I'll just keep an eye on
it and make sure it doesn't take over the house!
