Frozen Waterfall At Abingdon, Virginia's "Veterans Memorial Park"

We haven't seen much snow here in southwestern Virginia so far this winter, but the mercury dropped low enough a couple of nights ago to leave the waterfall at Abingdon's Veterans Memorial Park partially frozen. I noticed this scene as I was driving through town last night but I didn't have my camera with me. Expecting the ice to melt the following day, I hurried home to get my camera and then returned to take a few pictures. I have featured Veterans Memorial Park before, but it never occurred to me that there might be photographic opportunities there during the winter. I guess I just happened to be driving by at just the right time! Capturing this image required using two photography skills that I'm still a bit weak in: taking pictures under "low light conditions" and "photographing flowing water". While I'm satisfied with the overall results, I realize that I need some more practice at both of those skills.
