Green Tea Fields And Mt. Fuji

Green tea fields and Mt. Fuji

Today's picture features a view of Mt. Fuji that is quite different than the typical picture-postcard scene. Photographer Craig Hansen captured this beautiful image of the photogenic peak while overlooking several expansive fields of green tea plants. Here is his story behind this intriguing photo:
"Green tea is one of the healthiest drinks you can consume.
Most Japanese drink several cups a day, which accounts in
part, I believe, for their super longevity.

This photo was taken yesterday morning in Fujinomiya, a mere
10 minute drive from my home. The tea leaves are fresh and
green and ready to be harvested.

It's getting harder and harder to take such shots however
because many tea fields are now installing unsightly metal poles
with fans on top to prevent frost from forming on the leaves.
You really need to be a local to know where to go shooting
    nowadays."
