Sunrise On Florida's Gulf Coast

Elliott.
Today's picture features one of Florida's typically glorious
sunrises. It's a magnificent scene that makes me want to just jump
in the car and drive down there for a week or two! Here is
photographer Trish Elliott's story behind the image:
"I believe that the Florida Gulf Coast has some of the most
amazing
colors in the skies. This photo was taken April 7th on
a very cold
morning. We were headed out of NAS Pensacola,
Sherman Cove Marina
and God graced us with the most glorious
sunrise I have seen around
here in a long time.
I've been told that colder mornings make better photo's, so I
convinced my husband to go fishing and let me bring the camera.
This
day was perfect, not only did I get the Catch of the Day with
the
sunrise, but we also loaded the boat up with over 50 Spanish
Mackerel.
The Blue Angels are home based at NAS Pensacola, Florida
so they were out practicing that same morning. And to be triple
blessed the Navy escorted the brand new ship USS New Orleans
through
the area we were fishing. This ship is so new it doesn't
even have
lettering on it yet, just the number 18 on the bow,
oh and believe
me I got photo's of that too."
