It won't be long now until summer makes way for fall, and many of
God's creatures are already preparing for the long winter ahead. My
brother Glen took this photograph which features the handiwork of
some rather industrious hornets, and this is what he had to say
about it:
"I mowed last Saturday and this bees nest wasn't there...went out
yesterday to mow and BAM!...there it was. They appear to be bald
faced hornets."

Hornets are true architects, and they sure created a nice home for
themselves in your yard! Our house had one hanging from one of the
eves for 3 years before the hornets decided to move on. Call us
crazy, but we just didn't have the heart to evict them.

That is a bee's castle!!! Glad it is at your house and not mine...
the bees here make nests in the ground so we have to watch out where
we walk. Glen that is a great picture.

Great pic today Mr. Rouse. But weren't you nervous getting so close
to those hornets?

Great capture, Mr. Rouse. I noted you shot the image with a nice
long zoom lens setting. Good move!

Believe me I took this pic at max zoom! Those little buggers were
very busy indeed.
