Hummingbird dining on a gladiola

Without a doubt, this dream-like image by photographer Ruth Ann Joines is one of the most delightful hummingbird photos I have ever seen. Here is her story behind the image: "This was taken in my front yard. The hummingbird is feeding from a gladiola. I found they liked glads, dahlias, zinnias, and other plants better than the feeder I had out for them. That's nature's way and t was very enjoyable watching them all summer.
