Hungry Mother Lake

Hungry Mother State Park near Marion, Virginia is home to some of the state's most beautiful scenery, and today's picture by Cheria's Uncle Bob Cook is a fine example of the types of views you'll find when you stop by for a visit. Bob captured this image a couple of days ago while enjoying an afternoon of hiking and picture-taking at Hungry Mother with his stepson and great friend Randy Evans. They spent the afternoon hiking up the trail to Molly's Knob and around Hungry Mother Lake, and at one point they happened upon this gorgeous view, prompting Uncle Bob to whip out his camera and snap off a few shots. Both Bob and Randy enjoy photographing the spectacular scenery that abounds in our neck of the woods, and every so often I'll find one of their wonderful pictures sitting in my inbox.
