Picture of the day -
July 11, 2007 My nephews Jason and Glen "hiding" from the camera

As a member of a large family, the Lord has blessed me with
a number of wonderful nephews and nieces, all of whom are quite
photogenic. Today's pictures feature two of the most photogenic
of the bunch: my little nephew Jason and his big brother "Little
Glen". Jason and Glen live out of state so we don't get to see them as often as we
would like, but we were excited to have them with us for this year's
Parker
Family Reunion.
There were lots of children in attendance, virtually all
of whom fell victim at one time or another to the relentless pursuit
of my camera lens. At first, Jason wasn't too keen on having his
picture taken, but it's easy to see that even when he "hid" from the
camera he didn't seem to work at it all that hard, and by the end of
the day I had several good pictures of him. But as for Glen... well,
that's quite a different story!
As you can see in the photo below, I had to work
pretty hard to get a decent picture of the camera-shy youngster. All
throughout the day he kept putting his hands in front of his face
whenever he saw me point the camera towards him, but in the end I did
manage to come away with a couple of "keepers". To the
relentless goes the victory!

All in all, this year's reunion was a wonderful event with plenty of
loving embraces and "catching up" going on everywhere I looked, and
thanks to all of the digital cameras snapping away we'll be able to
step back in time to that great day over and over again as the years
roll on.
