Lady Bird Lake - Austin, Texas

In addition to being the capitol city of Texas, Austin is also home to Lady Bird Lake, one of the most scenic reservoirs to be found along the entire length of the Colorado River. In today's picture, photographer Shaun Clark has managed to capture a very beautiful scene with the skyscrapers of downtown Austin reflecting in the waters of the Lady Bird. Lady Bird Lake was known as Town Lake until July 26, 2007, the day on which the Austin City Council voted to rename the reservoir in honor of Lady Bird Johnson, the former First Lady of the United States and long-time Austin area resident.
