Lake Balaton

Although Hungary has no seacoasts, it does contain within its
borders the largest lake in Central Europe. Lake Balaton is
one of the continent's most popular tourist destinations with
thousands of visitors arriving every year from locations near and
far to indulge in a wide range of beach and water activities. And as
you can tell from today's picture, the scenery isn't bad either.
Photographer Andris Kovács did a wonderful job at capturing the
natural beauty of a Lake Balaton sunrise. What first drew my
attention to this image was the way the tall grasses frame the view
of the lake, sky and far horizon, adding just enough "character" to
the photograph to make it stand out from all the other sunrises and
sunsets that come my way. Great job Andris!
