"A letter from Heaven"

Today's picture needs no introduction from me. Instead, I'll simply
let photographer Daryl Thomson explain why it is so special:
"My daughter Anna goes to a very special pre-school here in
Chattanooga, Tennessee that cares for, teaches, and prepares
children of all abilities to move on to the next level of their
education. Although my child is typically developing, she had a
friend with special needs that battled a medical condition all of
her life. In January, my daughter's best friend passed away at
the
age of 5.
Although watching my child experience the grieving process has
been
difficult, knowing she has experienced such love and friendship
is a
source of comfort. Knowing that she has such a deep under-
standing of
things that most adults do not is remarkable. Her
innocence and
faith has allowed her to keep a connection to the
dear friend she
lost. When it rains or snows, her friend is watering
the plants or
having a pillow fight. When it is cloudy, she is painting
in Heaven.
On this day, after visiting her friend's grave and praying that she
could see her again, three planes flew over our house. I saw the
tracks the planes left behind. Anna saw the gift she was given from
her friend - her letter from heaven." --Daryl Thomson

Name: Fran Thomson
This is the sweetest story and picture, and I have seen my little
Anna make an A just like that. Daryl is my son and Anna is my
granddaughter. If we could all see life and the world as children
see it, we might have a more peaceful existence.
