A beautiful summer day in New Zealand

Michael Lidski.
While those of us here in the northern hemisphere are slogging
through the cold and snow of winter, our friends south of the
equator are enjoying the warmth and beauty of summer. Today's
picture by photographer Michael Lidski features a beautiful scene
from
Lewis Pass on the
Maruia
River on New Zealand's scenic
South
Island.
Famous the world over for her natural beauty,
New Zealand boasts a
wide variety of landscapes ranging from spectacular beaches to lush
green forests to majestic mountains, with plenty of scenic valleys
and lowlands in between. It's quite nice to be able to sit here in
my southwestern Virginia office and enjoy a magnificent image of
summer while the thermometer outside my window is showing 30 degrees
Fahrenheit!
New Zealand is one of those magical places that most Americans will
never get to see with their own eyes, but thanks to wonderful
photographers like Mr. Lidski we can still enjoy some of this
amazing country's most beautiful scenery. You can check out more of
Michael Lidski's photographs
on his website.
