Lightnin' Charlie and Beth at the Pickin' Porch

Lightnin' Charlie Dolinger is a veritable icon here in the
Mountain Empire. You'll find him picking his guitar and belting out
tunes that run the gamut from the Everly Brothers and Elvis to Marty
Robbins and Little Richard at venues large and small across the
region and in parts far and wide. Everyone who has the opportunity
to see and hear Lightnin' perform is astounded by his talent and
showmanship - this man really knows how to entertain a crowd!
Charlie was the featured performer on last night's
Pickin' Porch
Show, and as usual he had the audience clapping their hands and
singing along as he gave his all on such classics as "Oh,
Lonesome Me", "Don't Be Cruel" and several other old
favorites, but the highlight of the evening came when his lovely
wife Beth joined him on stage to sing several gospel duets
with him. Charlie and Beth both sing in their church choir, but it's
rather obvious that they also do a lot of singing as a duo. When
this amazing husband and wife team raise their voices in unison to
praise the Lord in song, the sound they produce is nothing short of
perfection.
Lightnin' Charlie is one of the area's most popular entertainers.
His talents are always in high demand and he always rewards those
who come out to see him by putting on an outstanding show that
leaves everyone wanting to hear more. Well, the lucky folks who came
out to last night's Pickin' Porch Show got to see him at his very
best...with his beloved Beth at his side, matching him note for
note!
