A beautiful pair of yellow lilies

Photo courtesy of Jim & Dolores White.
In one form or another, lilies have been adorning flower gardens
around the world for thousands of years, and almost everywhere I go
these days I see them growing in flower beds, along fence rows, and
even in the ditches that line the country roads here in the Mountain
Empire. Today's picture features a pair of beautiful yellow lilies
blossoming in all their summertime glory.
Lilies have long been one of the most popular flowers in the world,
held in such high regard that even Jesus Himself came to be referred
to as "The lily of the valley". And when we look at this picture
it's easy to understand why. The magnificent yellow petals are
without a spot or blemish, symbols of perfection in their beauty and
grace. I guess you could say this magnificent flower really is the
perfect symbol of a magnificent and perfect Saviour.
Of course lilies come in many varieties and colors, all of which are
very beautiful and pleasing to the eye, but the ones pictured above
are simply spectacular. Thanks to Jim & Dolores White of
Surgoinsville, TN for sharing just a taste of their lovely garden
with the rest of the world!
