Picture of the day -
July 30, 2007 Madison sleeping in a laundry basket

My beautiful granddaughter Madison just loves to visit with her
relatives, and yesterday she had the opportunity to visit her Aunt
Eleanor - with Cheria and me tagging along of course. And with her
being just a little over three months old, it goes without saying
that she also enjoys taking a nap on occasion!
Well, when we got to Eleanor's house everyone there had to take a
turn at holding her, but eventually she decided that it was time for
her to
catch a few Z's. But there was a problem: Since Eleanor doesn't
own a baby bed or any other type of infant sleeping apparatus, there
was no safe place for the weary young'un to lay down her pretty
little head! But
it didn't take long for the gals to put their heads together and
come up with a solution...
Cheria simply borrowed one of Eleanor's laundry baskets and lined it
with a couple of blankets to create an improvised crib, and before
you could say "Poor baby!" she was out like a light and dreaming
about whatever it is that infants dream about (I used to know but I
seem to have forgotten).
The little angel was as happy as a lark lying in her perfectly-sized
makeshift bed, and apparently she couldn't have cared less that she
was taking the place of a load of laundry. After a while she woke up
all refreshed and ready to face the world anew... and enjoy another
round of being passed from one loving pair of hands to another!
