Madison "sitting up" for the first time

The gorgeous little redhead featured in today's picture is my
precious
granddaughter
Madison,
and yesterday was one of those milestone days that new parents and
grandparents are always so proud of. For the first time in her short
life, she was able to sit up, without help, for longer than just a
few seconds at a time. In fact, she sat there smiling at us for
several minutes all while
Cheria grabbed a camera and snapped off a whole
bunch of pictures to commemorate the event.
Madison is seven months old now, and we have all enjoyed watching
her pass one milestone after another as she matured from a helpless
newborn into the feisty little girl that she is today. Her next
milestone will most likely be walking, and I simply can't wait for
her to reach that one! I'm guessing that Granny and Papa will be
just as excited as she is when she finally gets around to taking
that first "real" step.
I thank the good Lord every day for blessing me with two very
beautiful and highly intelligent granddaughters. With
Olivia learning how to be a teenager and Madison learning how to
do pretty much everything, there is never a dull moment when
those two are around...and
Cheria
and I love every minute of it!
