Flower blossoms are among God's most precious gifts, and spring is
the time of year when many of them come to life in all their
colorful glory after lying dormant all winter. Today's picture
features a close-up view of a beautiful magnolia blossom, and
photographer Gordon Brugman offers the following words about it:
"Is there any other bloom that says "The Ol' South" more than the
Magnolia? While the Dogwood will always be an iconic symbol of the
South as well, nothing conjures up visions of plantations,
white-
washed verandas and cold Mint Juleps quite like a blooming
Magnolia
tree." --Gordon Brugman

What a beautiful, beautiful image Mr. Brugman. Believe it or not, I
have never seen a magnolia tree in all my 61 years. But oh, what
magnificent blossoms they must have. Great shot!
