Maya impersonating the Easter Bunny

The newest member of our family is Maya, the beautiful German Shepherd mix canine featured in today's picture. Maya just showed up at the drop zone where Amy and Gene skydive one day, and when the three of them met up it was love at first sight. Well, it was love at first sight on Maya's part anyway. After our beloved Sage passed away after a brief illness, Amy wasn't really in the mood to look for another dog any time soon. But when Maya showed up needing a good home, she and Gene reluctantly agreed to bring her home with them. Maya quickly made herself at home, and in spite of a few pesky "issues" that are taking a bit longer than expected to resolve, Maya has turned out to be another wonderful addition to the family. The other day a skydiving friend of Amy and Gene showed up at the drop zone with a pair of Easter Bunny ears, and before they knew it Maya was wearing them. The rest, as they say, is history. We now have a canine that loves to pretend she's a rabbit.
