"Melancholy Surfer"

(Click on the photo for a larger view)
Say what you will about surfers, but they are undoubtedly some of
the most dedicated folks on the face of the planet. Regardless of
the season or the weather, you'll find them on many of the world's
beaches, ever ready and willing to jump in and catch a great wave
whenever one decides to present itself. Want proof? Just check out
the
"Picture of the Day" from March 10, 2005.
Today's picture features yet another highly dedicated surfer. This
poor soul is standing on the beach looking out at the sea as a most
spectacular sunset signals the end of the day - and along with it
the end of the fun. But of course there is always tomorrow with yet
another sunrise, followed by yet another fun-filled day of riding
wave after wave after wave...
