The Midnight Ramblers Performing At The Pickin' Porch

The Midnight Rambers: (L-R) Marcus Johnson - Abram Mullins -
Austin Boggs - Cherise Bates
The Pickin'
Porch Show is a live, two-hour Bluegrass music show that
features
some of the very best local and national Bluegrass bands in the
country. Last night's show featured
The
Midnight Ramblers, a group of four outstanding young performers from right
here in southwestern Virginia!
Although still teenagers, these young folks really know their way
around Bluegrass music. Their vocals are strong, clear and true to
the genre, their instrumental work is simply flawless, and they have
a stage presence that belies their youth. They're equally
entertaining whether their blazing fingers are pickin' a barnburner
like Bill Monroe's "Rawhide" or they're singing one of their
very own original touching ballads. I have seen The Midnight
Ramblers perform twice now, and last night's show simply confirmed
the unbelievable talent they had demonstrated the first time I saw
them!
After being written off for dead not all that long ago, Bluegrass
music is
back and even more popular today than it was back in hits heyday,
and much of the credit for its revival goes to the many fine young
singers and musicians across the country - and the Midnight Ramblers
are among the cream of the crop!
