Mirabeau Falls

Ron E. Trees.
Today's picture of Washington State's beautiful Mirabeau Falls comes
to us courtesy of frequent contributor and good friend Ron Trees.
Ron's photographs never fail to delight, and I consider this to be
among the best he has ever submitted. He offers these words about
the image:
"There is a fairly new little park in the Spokane Valley called
Mirabeau
Park. It has a nice man-made waterfall that I have been
wanting to
photograph for a while now. My family and I visited the
park this last
weekend and I took this picture. It is actually three
photos which I
combined using Photomatix and then finished off in
Adobe Lightroom
version 2.3. I hope that you enjoy it as I did."

Great job Mr. Trees. Combining images in a HDR image (High Dynamic
Range) is tricky and can produce garish, surreal looking results.
Mr. Trees has managed to keep detail in all areas of the frame and
still present a very realistic image. Great work on a lovely image.

Rick, that's a great picture of Mirabeau Falls by Ron Trees.
Everything is very natural in appearance (a tribute to the makers of
the waterfall and to Ron for his skill with the pixels!).

Nicely done, Ron... I saw this on Digital Grin, and it's nice to see
the larger version here. A very well-done HDR. Many people overdo
it, resulting in an image that looks artificial or fake, but you've
managed to bring out the detail while still preserving the colors
and details that make an image look real. Nice job!
