Yesterday afternoon my sister Helen and niece Lisa took my wonderful mom to our local Wal-Mart to shop for some fabric, and while they were there they took a short break from shopping to eat lunch at the in-store McDonalds restaurant. Always one to make a new friend, mom sat down beside this smiling fellow for a quick rest. I don't know whether Ronald ever got around to saying anything, but knowing mom's gift for turning a total stranger into a lifelong friend in a matter of minutes, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if he did! Helen captured this image with the tiny camera built into her cell phone, proving once again that the true joys of photography aren't dependent upon owning a fancy DLSR or even a slim, trim, 10 megapixel "point and shoot". The most powerful pieces of photographic equipment at our disposal can't be bought in a store. Our Creator has provided each and every one of us with the only tool we really need in order to take great pictures with ANY camera: an imagination. Some of the most wonderful photographs I have ever seen were nothing more than simple snapshots taken by family members with whatever camera they happened to have with them at the time, and in my opinion this one surely qualifies.
