"My Mom & Mike"

I have often heard it said that the hardest thing that a mother could ever have to endure is the death of a child, and my wonderful mom recently had to deal with the passing of my brother Mike. It has been quite hard on all of us "kids" having to look on helplessly as she struggles with the reality of his loss, but we take comfort in the knowledge that God has promised that He will never put more on her than she can bear. This amazing lady is a rock in her faith, and she knows with complete certainty in her heart and mind that she will indeed see him again someday. Although this special "Mothers Day" picture features my own mom, I am dedicating it to ALL mothers who have had to endure the loss of a child at some point during their lifetimes. May God give all of you the grace to properly grieve and heal along with the gift of a long life full of only happy memories of your beloved children who passed on way too soon. I love you mom.
